Located in eastern France, close to the Swiss and German borders, Mulhouse is a lovely town with a rich cultural and historical heritage that still shows today on the typical wooden houses of the region for example. The main attractions are: Hôtel de Ville. The town hall was built in 1553 in the Rhenish Renaissance style. It is known for its trompe l'oeil paintings, and its pictures of allegories representing the vices and virtues. The workers' quarter (mid 19th century), inspired by districts in Manchester. Musée National de l'Automobile (car museums) which features the Schlumpf collection. And the French Railway Museum and Elctropolis (the museum of electricity).
